2019 Presentation Day

2019 Presentation Day

A big thank you goes out to all our players and the SBFC Community for coming along to our Presentation Day on Sunday 15th September. We had a fantastic turn out and the weather was perfect, almost too hot. Of our 14 teams, the Coaches all had enthusiastic words to share with their team on the great season they played. Big thanks to all our Coaches and Managers for all your volunteer work to organise and encourage your teams. And thanks to Damiano, our Thursday night Wanderers Coach, for coming to see all our kids awarded their trophies.

Thanks to Laser Warriors, Bubble Ball Australia, Sacha our Face Painter who didn’t stop all day, and Sofia and Helana for running our goal kicking game. It looked like the kids had a great time enjoying all these activities.

Thank you Father Fernando for coming along and presenting an award to our 5 players in the U12’s team who were recognised for their loyalty, having played for SBFC since Kindi. Congrats to Angus McGovern, Tyler Smith, Joshua Foo, Gabriel De Ponte and Claudia Homsi.

Fr Fernando also presented our gift, a token of appreciation, to Stephen Emmas who is retiring as our club President at the end of the year. Steve has done a fantastic job as our President during his time in this role. He has won many grants for the Club, which have been used to purchase some great equipment. He has been our representative at all the Hills Football Association meetings, and there are many. He has done field lines before our Saturday games and run our Mini Roos program. A super effort! We thank you Steve for the huge amount of time and energy you have donated to the Club. We will miss you.

Each year our sponsors at Stone Real Estate attend this day to celebrate the season with us, and they run a great raffle. The proceeds of the raffle come back to us, which helps cover costs of this great day. Congrats to Luke who won the first prize Summer Fun hamper.

Congrats also to Pauline who won the Featherdale family pass, and Rhonda who won the 5kg box of Cadbury chocolates.

Thanks for a great season everyone. For those of you playing Summer Soccer, have fun. For the rest, enjoy your break and we’ll see you back in the new year for the 2020 season.

From the SBFC Committee Brett Allen, Antonino Lalli, Adam Keremelevski, Adrienne McGovern, Lee Robinson. If you would like to join our committee in 2020 we would LOVE to hear from you.

The more help the lighter the load.

Thank you BBQ helpers and Drinks Stall helpers.

Aldi MiniRoos KickOff Program for pre-schoolers

Aldi MiniRoos KickOff Program for pre-schoolers

SBFC is running the ALDI Kick Off Program, starting Saturday 27th April 2019. This six week program is designed for children aged 4 to 5, as an introduction to the game before they sign up to an U6’s team in 2020.

  • Weekly 45 minute sessions that build skills through games and simple drills delivered in an engaging and inclusive environment.
  • Every player gets plenty of time on the ball and the prime aim of each session is for children to build fundamental motor skills.
  • Each child also receives an ALDI MiniRoos Participant Pack when they register – which includes a bag, ball, and a water bottle.
  • We have 10 vacancies for the program.
  • We will use the SBFC Kit (goals, balls etc) to support the program.

The cost is $60.00 for 6 weeks.  To be run on Saturday Mornings at 9:30am at Eric Mobbs (45 mins) starting Saturday 27th April 2019.

The program is supported by Football NSW, Hills Football, SBFC and ALDI.  Registrations can be complete by the following link. https://membership.sportstg.com/regoform.cgi?formID=83804&programID=45128

Welcome to SBFC 2019 Season.

Returning this season we have the Wanderers running our Training sessions on a Thursday night under the guidelines of the Kickstart Soccer program. Tonight they will be running a Cooperative Inservice for our Team Coaches and Managers.

Introducing our Kickstart Coaches

This year we welcome Damiano Di Francesco and Timothy Robertson. Their focus each Thursday will be to Coach the Coach. They will arrive prior to the session to set up the fields. They will email the nights program to the coaches prior and be available for the coaches 15 minutes prior to answer questions. They will organise rotations and timings between stations. As coaches you will also have access to coaching videos each week – watch the intro to the videos below.

Please try to arrive 15 minutes prior to the session starting so you can catch up with Damiano and Timothy. During the session please actively organise and keep the team in-line with the session theme and coach the team to the session program.

The added benefits of aligning with the Wanderers … well tonight we’ll have two A-League players dropping by. Grading added to our Registration Day

Grading added to our Registration Day

2019 sees SBFC introduce grading for our teams from U8’s and up.

We have decided to introduce grading when we have more than one team playing in a grade. This will help us ensure we allocate teams to the appropriate division. Also very skilled players can be challenged in the higher grades. And those new to the sport, or playing more on a social level, can be graded accordingly.

Our Club coaches, Mafee Monje (who is our clubs C grade coach) and Adam Keremeleski, will be running the grading.

If your grade has only one team, we still invite you to attend the grading day, so we can give the team a run and chat to the Coach to discuss which division would be best for the team.

Please come along to Eric Mobbs Reserve this coming Sunday, 17th February from 12:30pm to 2pm. We will have the BBQ on so you can grab an easy lunch. We will also limited uniform items available for purchase (cash please).

Socks = $10 each

Shorts = $25 each

Hoodies = $45 each
